Wow...So i would have been home tonight for good if i hadn't extended my stay...its crazy to think it has already been 6 months living here in Haiti with Dorothy and all these beautiful children.
i have thanked the Lord so much today because i am still here! i was homesick there for awhile, but he truly has answered prayers and now when i think about leaving i am speechless(sigh). i really am so thankful for this season in my life and it is not even over yet!
The Lord has found me, brought me out of muck, healed me, used me, sent me to Haiti and is keeping me here for a few more months and i am oh so blessed. i am honored to have a community that does nothing but encourage. i am filled with joy to see change and improvement in these children. i am blessed in abundance.
no matter how many things break on us here...the inverter, generators, car...HE is always working. we always have enough, enough to put food on the table, enough hugs to get a heart full of smiles!!! i really love that. words are not enough for my gratitude in our mighty God and in all of you as you pray with us and do so much more.
THANK YOU!
"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the LORD,who has compassion on you." -Isaiah 54:10
i have been holding this verse close to my heart lately because no matter how many things shake my ground, HE IS STEADFAST, never letting go.
And then of course 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18...as Dorothy spoke of in her update..as a home we all hold to this one. giving thanks in all circumstances. this is a lesson are children need to never let go of.
Blessings to you all.
Natasha :)
