simply embrace who you are.... not who you were, who others think you are, or even who they tell you to be, but who you TRULY are....

just some thoughts.... thought i would share....

hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday...tomorrow and we'll be half way through the week...

balance in 2013

I keep saying i need to be better at blogging....and i seem to continuously fail at this declaration of change.... i really need some accountability...

i often know my weakness more than i know my strengths...and they intimidate me....just to be real with you.

i have never had good time management skills.... in fact i recently read an article here... that sounded all to familiar... also my attention span is short, i get distracted easily and being with people always wins over anything i seem to have to do... these are just a few handicaps...that keep me from my goal to blog more...

don't get me wrong i don't think that these always are bad....sometimes you need to let go of time and embrace whatever is, short attention spans can cause many things to happen in a day...making it full of adventure...and distraction can cause the same, plus there is a fun article about how switching tasks facilitates creativity....and people winning over tasks is good most the time as the Lord made people and we are called to love them....

however.... often these things take away from things that are actually good for me, writing on my blog, painting and sewing, my online etsy shop that i really do desire to do well, and my growth as a person...

recently i took the strengths finder 2.0 test and was pretty impressed by my strengths:

1. Communication:
People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their
thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters.

2. Connectedness:
People who are especially talented in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all
things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason.

3. Woo:
People who are especially talented in the Woo theme love the challenge of meeting new people and
winning them over. They derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection with
another person.

4. Belief:
People who are especially talented in the Belief theme have certain core values that are unchanging.
Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their life.

5. Empathy:
People who are especially talented in the Empathy theme can sense the feelings of other people by
imagining themselves in others’ lives or others’ situations.

So now the challenge is learning to use my strengths, focus on them instead of being intimidated by my weaknesses and letting them win more often than the good stuff....

Life is always a balancing act... my heart longs to find this healthy balance so that i may honor others and myself as well as impact this world while also impacting myself... if that make sense to anyone beside me...

so here i go....2013 lets try this new balancing act of strengths and weaknesses and all good things!!!!
